In terms of exterior design, the Hongqi HQ9 Hybrid continues the family’s design language, with a large, waterfall-style grille dominating the front end. The iconic red badge is positioned on the hood and extends downward to the center of the grille, reinforcing the front end’s imposing presence. The body features full curves and flowing lines, highlighting the luxury and dignity of the Hongqi HQ9 Hybrid. The practical dual sliding doors make it easy for passengers to get in and out. The HQ9 Hybrid measures 5,222 mm in length, 2,005 mm in width, and 1,935 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm. The rear has a powerful appearance with stylish full-width taillights that offer excellent visibility when illuminated.
The interior of the Hongqi HQ9 showcases solid craftsmanship and high-end materials. The interior color palette includes pure, warm tones such as beige and gray, creating a calm, neutral, and distinctive atmosphere. The car is equipped with a W-HUD head-up display, a large floating central control screen, a full LCD instrument cluster, an electronic gearshift lever, and a new three-spoke steering wheel. The car is also equipped with a 12-channel high-fidelity speaker system from Dynaudio, with a maximum output power of 700 W, delivering Hi-Fi-level sound reproduction with minimal distortion. The combination of double-layered soundproof glass and privacy glass provides a quieter and more comfortable driving experience for passengers.
The second row is the highlight of the Hongqi HQ9. The spacious individual seats are equipped with adjustable winged headrests, dual armrests on both sides, and an adjustable leg rest. The armrest also features a separate seat control display, allowing for independent adjustment of the rear seat angle. Ventilation, heating, massage, and other functions are also available.
In terms of smart driving, the Hongqi HQ9 is equipped with three millimeter-wave radars, enabling features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear collision warning, reverse side warning, door-opening warning, and lane-change decision support. The car is also equipped with various driver-assistance systems for safe driving, including automatic parking, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree panoramic view, and automatic emergency braking.
